Dinner Exchange

Last night, Yashpal, Hao, Rebecca, and Lynn made dinner, and Maya made dessert. Joe and I were just kind of there, contributing our charming personalities. Let's all admit that my conversational skills and incredible wit are very worthwhile contributions to every dinner party.

It's a feast!
Yashpal made two delicious curries, one with chicken and the other with tofu. I've never eaten tofu before, but this is my summer of trying new things, and it was actually pretty good. Hao, Lynn, and Rebecca made fried rice and a sausage dish. It was a wonderful meal and wonderful company, of course.

For dessert, Maya made Better Than Sex cake. It's really quite easy - you bake a German Chocolate cake, poke holes in the cake and pour on sweetened condensed milk and caramel sauce, and refrigerate. The next day, you add a layer of Cool Whip and sprinkle on crushed up Heath bar. Can you imagine anything easier? It barely counts as a baked good.

I got to poke the holes. Too much fun.
Rebecca: "What is this cake called again?"
Lynn: "Better Than Sex cake. And you got two pieces!"
I would have been happy with the Heath bar.
Quite the successful dining experience, I would say. I'm all about the chicken curry.

P.S. I'm watching Tangled right now. Word to the wise, it's streaming on Netflix. I think I'm crushing on Flynn Rider. Mood of the week, I suppose.
